Tucked vintage overalls, vintage top & boots, Jcrew bag, thrfted cargo jacket
So spring appropriate, I’ve been DYING for a good pair of overalls since the warmer weather has kicked in! While it seems a lot of folks are reaching for their denim overalls this season, I’ve always found a denim version to be super heavy. The weight lends to their history as a work garment and can be super cool, but having a lighter, feminine version like these makes for a great spring ensemble that is light and great for romping around (please excuse the expression). Infinite gratitude to Dawn C (http://www.bibandtuck.com/users/3626) for making these available!

I do not need more black outwear or anything involving leather. This is a fact. But the decision to tuck this sick Wang blazer was more emotional than rational. Is that a bit much for a piece of clothing? Maybe. But some pieces you see and know they’ll just seamlessly melt into your wardrobe, that you’ll be able to throw them on flurried mornings with nearly anything you own and look like you made an effort to be a functioning human being with some smidgen of sartorial sense. I don’t know about you, but those are the pieces that win for me.
Plus, you know, I love me some leather accents and an oversized fit is the cherry on this all too metaphor-happy post. – Arushi

Double Tuck

Tucked J Brand jeans, Tucked Elizabeth and james heels, Johnathan Simkhai tee, Vintage Coach bag, vintage belt, Vanessa Mooney cuff
It’s amazing how many closet staples I’ve been able to find since I started shoppin’  on Bib and Tuck, I was so happy to get these J Brands from the lovely Alexandra McCown, who sent them on down super quick. I was in need of a good basic black high waisted jean, and boom they were there! Alexandra had gotten them from a friend who cut the legs on a bias, which ended up being a good move because the waist fits perfectly, but the legs are super tailored, so the opened feet made them much more comfortable and wearable. Too keep in line with the off-bias cuts, I added little asymmetric details from the slit sleeve tee to the biased E&J heels (also an amazing Tuck). Just a little something to romp around in on the first (VERY) warm day of Spring!

What: A pair of Vans that’s got us California dreaming

Bibbed by: Ranu Rajkarnikar

How much: 30 bucks

Why: Because even if they’re never going to be used for anything more than pounding the pavement here in NYC, a fresh pair of Vans never fails to conjures up images of 1970s West Coast skate culture—a very good look.

What: A groovy top that has us feeling Megan Draper-esque

Bibbed by: Meg Busacca

How much: 25 bucks

Why: Between the season 6 premiere of Mad Men and the lovely weather we’ve been having in the city lately, it’s high time we work a pop—or better yet, an explosion—of color into our wardrobes. This vintage crop top has so much late ’60s goodness going on that we’re pretty sure we could pair it with even our most understated pieces and still make a serious statement. Bring on the blooms.
